ORDER OF SAINT FRANCIS

I've been on this earth for 61 years, tried to be a writer for 41, a priest for 14, and a friar since October 2010. I'll be trying to become a writer, a priest, and a friar for all my days. It's been a wild wonderful ride! My wife, Miss Susan, and I live in Sylacauga, Alabama where I am rector of three small rural parishes, St. Andrew's/Sylacauga, St. Mary's/Childersburg, and Trinity/Alpine, while my wife's ministry is as a Speech Pathologist across the Coosa River in a public school in Vincent, Alabama. I've published five books of poetry (under "Louie" Skipper), and I'm discovering that being a Franciscan is really all I have ever really been, all I really want. I delight in my brothers, in Our Lord, Our Lady, in Francis. Good. All good.
